Testimonials

Kerry stands out as an exceptional instructor in that she has the rare ability to manage students of multiple levels in a single class. Her choreography is also on point. You don’t just learn tricks in Kerry’s classes, you learn how to perform.

– Simone

Kerry approaches teaching from a dance instructor mindset: I’m the teacher, I take ownership for my students and I’m responsible for their progress. I feel very few aerial studios in Los Angeles actually do this. They treat clients as customers versus students and don’t actually take responsibility for their students’ progress. Kerry has a training philosophy that she executes well. Simply, her students get results.

– Marie

The first time I stepped into Kerry’s class, I didn’t know what I was getting into but I wanted to learn something new. Thanks to her patience, knowledge of how bodies move and simple instruction, I’ve been able to start an aerial journey that I love. If you’re willing to do the work and listen, Kerry can help find the aerialist in you.

The Expecting Aerialist

Welcome to my new podcast, The Expecting Aerialist!

As you already know, I’m an aerialist and new mom.

I’ve wanted to start the conversation about how our aerial lives intersect with pregnancy and motherhood ever since I was pregnant, but struggled with the how and what The Expecting Aerialist would be because I don’t consider myself the expert. I’m not a doctor, physical therapist or doula. I don’t claim to be an expert in having babies or even being a mom. I just had my first kid and I’m figuring it out as I go along. What I do feel capable of doing is curating resources, asking the questions that are relevant to the needs of our population and giving a voice to our shared experiences because there’s just not enough information out there for women like us.

Our resident Physical Therapist and Pelvic Floor Specialist, Dr. April Douglas will be a regular on the podcast to give us her perspective on topics like pelvic floor dysfunction, painful sex postpartum and how to correctly use our bodies in the air.

Join me for interviews with aerial mamas from all over the world while we talk about everything from C-Section recovery, pre and post-natal aerial training, breast feeding and the transition to motherhood.

Kerry’s House of Pain

Kerry’s House of Pain is my local LA bodywork studio based on a Thai corrective massage philosophy based on clearing the energy lines in the body to increase circulation and eleviate pain. It’s no regular massage. Instead of a generic full body massage, you tell me where you’re experiencing pain and I do my best to get to the source of it. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s effective and efficient.
